County for active people

For everyone visiting the Strzelce – Drezdenko County there is a variety of bike and walking trails with marked resting places. There is a total of 300 km of trails on 14 extremely attractive and scenic routes.

“Dankowski trail" – (length: 14,5 km)-starts on Strzelce Krajeńskie and leads through Piastowo, Wielisławice, Gorzów Forestry District and ending in Danków. The trail bypasses busy roads, thus it is a safe biking and walking trail with extremely valuable sightseeing and natural values. For tourists on the trail there are three roofed resting places. The first is located on the 8th km of the trail, on the so-called “Rybakówka” – ponds, where carps and trout are bred. There you may encounter white-tailed eagle and an osprey. The second resting place is "Dolny Młyn" on the 11th km. The river, lake and surrounding alder and ash forests are perfect environment for European beavers. The third resting place is located in Danków, located at the Kinołęka (Małe Dankowskie) and Wielgie-Dankowskie lakes, where there is a vast camping site with big tables, benches, a place for a campfire, grill and a beautiful pier.

“Direction Długie” – (34 km) a tourist trail beginning in Strzelce Krajeńskie may be crossed through several routes, depending on the preferable form of activity. You may start your journey at ul. Poznańska or Grodziska in Strzelce Krajeńskie and head to Stare Kurowo. Routs are joined so there is a possibility of returning to the beginning.

Starting from ul. Grodziska you first reach the Sidłów village, then you go to Gardzko. Later the trail leads through a hardened, then sandy road. 14 km from Gardzko there is a resting place called “Ptasi budzik”, which connects the trails.

The trail from ul. Poznańska runs through fields with small clumps of trees. Near one of such clumps, 3,5 km from the beginning, there is a resting place for tourists.

From a place, which joints both routes, tourists may select two routes – the first one is shorter and easer, running through the forest straight to Długie (10 km) and the second, which bifurcates for approx. 1,5 km from “Ptasi Budzik” and leads to mid-forest lakes.
